Whether you broke up with your last stylist, moved to a new area or your stylist is on maternity leave, seeing someone new is hard. I bet if I took an IG poll most of you would rather go on a blind date with your friends lonely cousin than to sit in another stylists chair. Believe it or not, we get nervous meeting new clients too! But, don't worry, I have a list of super easy things you can do to make the switch easier!

  • Bring tons of pictures. bring inspo pictures, unfiltered photos of you from the past and I also like to see somethings that you hate. It really helps everyone be on the same page.

  • Plan for this appointment to be extra long. If you've been seeing someone for a long time, chances are you were in and out fairly quick. This is not the case for a new appointment. There will be several minutes of consultation, a tour of the salon if you want one, and since they are tackling someone else's previous work, they are probably going to be a little slower and more cautious (especially if you're going for a transformative service). Make sure you plan your childcare accordingly so you and your stylist aren't rushing.

  • Bring a drink and snacks. Our salon provides some complimentary drinks and snacks but don't be afraid to bring your own things...remember, you'll be there a while.

  • Be honest. It's ok if you don't love something about your hair. It doesn't mean the stylist did a bad job, sometimes things can still be miscommunicated after a consultation, so be prepared to be honest with your new stylist. Somethings can be tweaked at the first appointment, or you can at least have a plan moving forward.
